ROBINIA PSEUDOACACIA “NYIRSEGI”

The Robinia Pseudoacacia “Nyirsegi” is a selection from Hungary. It’s replicated by cuttings. Robinia Nyirsegi is different from Robinia seedlings because of its winter-hardness, that allows it to survive even in cold countries. For that reason, Robinia Pseudoacacia Nyirsegi is very appreciated in northern Europe. Another interesting feature as ornamental plant, it’s its high apical dominance: contrary to wild Robinia, the Nyirsegi selection gives no strenght to its lateral branches, sothat it grows faster and straighter than common Robinia. This selection is the best choice to make little trees to graft on the top.
