A plant of great decorative value, commonly known as “Dove Tree” or “Handkerchief Tree” for the white bracts surrounding its flowers: adult examples in full blossom are one real spectacle of nature.
Leaves are large, vaguely heart-shaped, of a light delicate shade of green, featuring a remarkable venation and sawtooth edges, they ensure rich and consistent foliage.
This species is also very resistent, if not immune, to parasites and diseases.
Blossom normaly occours around 8 – 10 years of age, although the “Sonoma” variety can produce flowers since its first year.

Actually we’re the only nursery to produce Sonoma in Italy.
